Interactive Mammography
Savvy women have mammograms every year, but usually only those with problems ever see them. Radiologists, however, look at dozens every day. As you’ll see from the pictures, their job isn’t easy. According to Dr. Mary Schmidt, a radiologist with Advanced Healthcare, one of the main ways a radiologist looks for early stage cancer is by comparing a new mammogram to previous ones. That’s one reason why it’s important to get a baseline mammogram and have new ones taken on a yearly basis. If you change clinics, be sure your records, and your mammograms, move with you.
