Columbia St. Mary's Stroke Centers

Posted: Jan. 1, 2008

When you or someone you love is having a stroke, every second counts in getting the best available treatment to provide the best possible recovery. If you experience any of the stroke warning signs, it is important to know you are going to a medical facility that can help you or a loved one as quickly as possible.

Columbia St. Mary's is proud to have received Primary Stroke Center Certification at all three hospitals:

Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Columbia
2025 E. Newport Avenue
Milwaukee

Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Milwaukee
2323 N. Lake Drive
Milwaukee

Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee
13111 North Port Washington Road
Mequon

The Primary Stroke Center Certification Program uses the recommendations published by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association statements for stroke. This program, implemented by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO), evaluates the stroke care provided by hospitals.
