Urgent Care Opens in Cedarburg

Robert Pachner, MD, Columbia St. Mary’s Urgent Care Medical Director

Posted: April 1, 2009

Nobody gets sick or injured when it’s convenient. That’s why Columbia St. Mary’s has opened an Urgent Care Center at Cedar Mills Medical Clinic in Cedarburg. The center is our response to the community’s need for quality and accessible healthcare.

Columbia St. Mary’s urgent care takes a patient-centered approach to medical care. Many walk-in care facilities have a limited menu of healthcare services available. Quick-med kiosk stations that you may find in malls or pharmacies are not equipped to offer X-ray and most lab services.

The Cedar Mills Urgent Care Center can treat anything for which you would routinely go to a physician’s office. We can treat persistent cough or flu symptoms, fevers, sore throats or cuts that need stitches. And we treat patients of all ages.

With our on-site lab and X-ray capabilities, we can diagnose infections, sprains and fractures to get our patients back on their feet in no time. And we have the ability to refer you to our nearby hospital in Mequon when necessary.

The Cedar Mills Urgent Care Center is staffed by physicians who are board certified and experienced in urgent care, registered nurses, medical assistants, and X-ray and lab technicians. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointments are needed. We’re open evenings and weekends: Monday through Friday from 5:30 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 pm.

If you’re not sure about whether you need to see a doctor, the best advice is to call your primary care physician. He or she can advise you based on your symptoms. However, because many people don’t have personal physicians, we recognize that urgent care offers another point of access to quality healthcare.

If you are in need of a primary care physician, our urgent care staff can assist you in establishing care with a quality primary care physician including specialists in family medicine, geriatrics, internal medicine and pediatrics.

In the real world, sickness and injuries don’t occur on a schedule that’s convenient. That is why the Columbia St. Mary’s Urgent Care Center at Cedar Mills Medical Clinic, located at N143 W6515 Pioneer Road in Cedarburg, is open for you when the unexpected happens.
