GI Warning Signs

Gastrointestinal (GI) disorders may have the following symptoms. It is important to call your doctor if you:
- See blood in the stool
- Have a change in bowel habits that lasts more than 10 days
- Experience unexplained weight loss
- Have any of the following symptoms that do not improve with over-the-counter medicines:
- Severe abdominal cramps or pain
- Severe diarrhea
- Unexplained fever lasting more than 3 or 4 days
- Exhaustion
- Loss of appetite
- Nausea
