Legs For Life® Screening

Posted: May 1, 2004

Legs for Life is a national program that offers screenings for peripheral vascular disease (PVD), abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), carotid/stroke, and venous disease. It is a community health and public information program founded in 1997 by the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR).

Legs for Life screenings will be held across the country throughout September 2004. Please check the sponsor’s Web site, www.sirweb.org, in August to locate a screening site near you.

Columbia St. Mary’s will again participate in this screening and awareness program. Columbia St. Mary’s also periodically conducts free peripheral vascular disease (PVD) screenings at locations throughout the Milwaukee area. The dates and information will be listed in Columbia St. Mary’s Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ads and posted on the Web at www.columbia-stmarys.com; check the Community Calendar listing. To register for these events, please call (414) 326-1745 (9355).
